Alex Cornelius

After completing his undergraduate in Environmental Sciences, Alex graduated from his masters at University College London in Remote Sensing, allowing him a good insight into the application of earth observation to biological and ecological systems. His thesis was done in collaboration with Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew and focused on applying contemporary computer vision and spatial analysis techniques to mapping desert vegetation arrangement in the hyper arid Atacama. His current work at Assimila is focused on environmental modelling of vegetation canopy temperatures, for use in bio pesticide efficacy models.
